My name is Clarise Lyon, and I have lived in the Bay area with my family for nine wonderful years. I am a Certified Educator with an M.A. in Teaching and am currently enrolled in the Educational Therapy Program at the University of California Santa Cruz extension. As a Teacher for more than ten years at the elementary level and private tutor for students of all ages and learning styles,  I have come to realize that learning is a lifelong pursuit. In order to facilitate a love for learning in each of my students, I strive to present hands on learning using a variety of materials and authentic experiences.  I realize that every child is unique--each learner brings a rich variety of experiences and gifts. Therefore, I strive to bring learning experiences that incorporate a multitude of learning styles while meeting each child at his and her own instructional level.
